1. What are you already good at?
Something I feel I am already good at in Spanish is pronunciation. Because I come from a Filipino background and some of the words are the same or similar, I am able to pronounce Spanish words better than an average non-Spanish speaker.
2. What would you say is the most challenging part of speaking/developing in Spanish?
I feel that one of the most challenging parts of speaking/developing in Spanish is learning the words. There are so many parts to learning conjugations, irregular and regular verbs, and many other parts to learning the language. Because the rules of the language are a little more complicated the the English language, I feel it's going to be a little challenging to learn.
3. How do you imagine practicing Spanish outside the classroom to increase your vocabulary AND comfortability?
I imagine practicing Spanish outside of school by first using Duolingo in order to learn the language, during my free time. In the past I've used this app, from about 9th grade to a little bit of 10th grade. It's helped me learned the basics of Spanish so I plan on using it in the future. I will also be going to friends houses and just practicing speaking the language in general. I feel like I wouldn't be fully comfortable in speaking the language, but I'll feel a little more confident in speaking it.
4. Please give a shout out to your partner.
Shout out to Emily for being a great partner because although she feels a little more shy than me in speaking the language, she was able to push through it and create the video with me, along with exceeding the time limit. She also worked with me to make plans outside of school last minute in order to get practice time for our video.
