Video #2
Reflection
Shout out to my partner Emily. We were stressing about what to say and what to talk about for our new Spanish video, and we were struggling with the new vocabulary that came up, but together we practiced as much as we can and were able to meet the expectations of the video, so I appreciate the effort she put into it. I feel like what I did good on in this video is using the vocabulary I already knew to help me. Although I had to learn new vocabulary, I used words I already knew such as "maestra" and "divertido/a" and other words I have learned in the past. This helped me become more comfortable in speaking the language and creating the video. I felt I also did good in the pronunciation of the words. Although I'm not perfect at it, I have a good idea on how to say the words and using the accents. What worked well in this video was keeping the conversation going, and making the conversation simple so it didn't seem like we were making a video, and it was as if we were having a normal conversation. What didn't work very well with this video was, at first when we created a script, we wrote everything in english and translated all the sentences at once instead of creating them in Spanish ourselves.. Because of this, there was much more advanced vocabulary and it would've been hard to learn it in the amount of time we had. But last minute we chose to create a script ourselves with simple/common vocabulary that would be easier to learn. In the next video, I look forward to using words and phrases we have already learned, in addition to new vocabulary we will learn, to be able to create a longer and stronger video.
